The Nike x Sacai LDWaffle and Blazer Mids are finally here, and to release them, Notre is doing something a little bit different—we're partnering with Open Books on a two-day book drive and raffle.

Open Books is not only one of our favorite local book stores, but an incredible organization that promotes literacy throughout the city. It describes itself as a "nonprofit social venture that provides literacy experiences for 10s of 1000s of readers each year." With proceeds generated from sales of used books at their West Loop and Pilsen locations, Open Books delivers programming that helps children of all ages from under-resourced communities develop stronger relationships with reading. Their impact is huge—they donate over 150,000 books annually.

To enter the raffle, drop off four books to our 118 N. Peoria location on Wednesday 05/29 or Thursday 05/30. Each book donated gives you a raffle entry to purchase a pair—two styles plus two colors equals four books. Additional donations are welcome, but there is a maximum of four entries per person. YOU MUST BRING AT LEAST FOUR BOOKS TO ENTER. No magazines or damaged books accepted. You'll also get a card like this one that entitles you to a 20% discount on your next purchase at Open Books’ West Loop location. Winners will be contacted Friday 05/31 with pick-up instructions.
