Comme des Garçons Play is one of the many branches of Rei Kawakubo’s Comme des Garçons family tree. Launched in 2002, the sublabel revolves around the heart-with-eyes logo that New York-based graphic artist, and longtime CdG fan, Filip Pagowski created simultaneously with, but independently of, the line. Following the motto, “a sign, a symbol, a feeling,” Comme des Garçons Play presents seasonal collections of t-shirts, knitwear, and accessories that serve as minimal canvases for Pagowski’s iconic design.
