Established in 1987, Australian brand Aesop’s objective is to create the finest apothecary goods. Founder Dennis Paphitis opened his hair salon, Emeis, in Melbourne and began to create hair products that his clients could sample. Starting with four products the company has grown with the line now offers almost 100 different skin, hair, and fragrance products. Making sure that all products are created with care and intention, the line is all plant-based and laboratory-made ingredients. Starting as an independent small business, Aesop has grown exponentially with L’Oréal acquiring the company in 2023. With close to 300 stores globally, the company has created a world around the brand. Bringing in famed architects, such as Norman Kelly and Snøhetta, Aesop believes in sustainable and meticulous design to blend function and setting.
