  • Created in 1825 when Cyrus and James Clark produced a groundbreaking slipper from sheepskin off-cuts, Clarks has become one of the most influential footwear brands in the world over the past two-hundred years. Despite the British company’s growth, Clarks has maintained its dedication to craftsmanship; to this day, each pair of the label’s shoes start with a last carved by hand from a single block of hornbeam. Yet, simultaneously, Clarks has also proven itself as an innovator: from its state-of-the-art iPad foot gauge, to advanced underfoot cushioning, to rapid prototyping and 3D printing. And, with an archive of more than 22,000 styles, including the iconic Clarks Desert Boot conceived by British soldier Nathan Clark and launched in 1950, Clarks continues to honor its heritage while designing for the future.
