Founded by editor and creative director Joerg Koch in 2001 and named after a hue of Pantone red, 032c began as a Berlin-based periodical, but has since grown into a highly influential, multi-platform brand. In 2007, Koch invited art director Mike Meiré to redesign the publication, turning it into a collage of text and images that has featured high fashion brands such as Comme des Garçons and Raf Simons alongside work from writers Hans Ulrich Obrist and David Woodward, photographers Mario Sorrenti and Inez and Vinoodh, and artists Juergen Teller and Wolfgang Tillmans. In 2015, 032c officially ventured into clothing with a small collection designed by Koch’s wife, Maria; in 2017 it launched the brand SSS World Corp, a sophisticated take on streetwear designed by former Brioni designer Justin O’Shea; and, in 2018, it debuted its first ready-to-wear collection at Pitti Uomo with a show that featured spoken word poetry and a pole dancer.
