  • London-born menswear designer Craig Green founded his eponymous label in 2012 after graduating from renowned British art school Central Saint Martins, where he received his BA Fashion (Hons) degree in print and completed the MA Fashion course under the tutelage of the late, great professor Louise Wilson. Known for his inventive, yet wearable reconceptualization of workwear, Green has quickly accrued both critical and popular praise. Although his line-stitched or quilted Worker Jacket has gained a cult following in its own right, Green’s approach cannot be defined by signature designs, alone; his collections present a sophisticated take on the (de)construction of menswear, highlighting the individual pattern pieces of finished garments through laced and clean-finished inside-out details. As a result, Green is one of a handful of young conceptual designers who can legitimately claim to bridge the worlds of fashion and art. His accolades include British Menswear Designer at the Fashion Awards 2016, 2017, and 2018, Menswear Guest Designer at Pitti Uomo 94 in 2018, the BFC/GQ Designer Menswear Fund prize 2016, and Emerging Menswear Designer at the British Fashion Awards 2014, and his designs have been featured in numerous exhibits, including the Metropolitan Museum of Art’s “China: Through the Looking Glass” in 2015 and 2018’s “Heavenly Bodies: Fashion and the Catholic imagination.”
