Comfort Upholstery had its humble beginnings in Mexico by upholsterer Gerardo Arevalo. With one hammer and a few nails, Gerardo ventured to open his first upholstery shop. The tradition has gained notoriety and not only grown but has been passed down to Gerardo's son David Arevalo as they continue to specialize in the car eand reupholstery of mid-century furniture from designers Herman Miller and more.
Converso, established in 1994 by Lawrence Converso, has become one of America's most prominent dealers of modern furnishings and objects. Converso's catalog highlights furniture by architects, rare prototypes and limited-editions alike, attracting attention from collectors and designers from around the globe. |

"You have to have the passion to represent your pieces when you sell them"

"What I admire about the craftsmanship in some of the pieces I handle, is for example, a dresser, it could be 60-70 years old and the drawers open exactly the same way as day one. The patina is balanced and these pieces have been made with high quality woods and upholstery that will stand the test of time."
