  • As the third oldest French fashion house, Lanvin is a staple in Parisian style. Originally founded in 1889 by Jeanne Lanvin, the couturier found international success early on by establishing the code for European elegance and carving the path for the intersection of luxury fashion with luxury lifestyle. Today, Lanvin is headed by the young Bruno Sialelli; former designer at Loewe, Balenciaga, Acne Studios, and Paco Rabanne. Having been appointed in 2019, Sialelli is rounding out his second year as Creative Director with a re-introduction of the famed-fashion house by honoring its heritage through distinctly French accoutrements and silhouettes, but this time with a youthful edge. In collaboration with Gallery Department, 70’s-inspired sneakers are updated with splattered paint, classic polos are stamped with the Gallery Department logo, and leather bags are given the street-art treatment with motifs from the artist’s work. Sialelli’s Lanvin is at once a nod to the rich catalogue of Jeanne Lanvin and a look forward to the future of the house; gender-fluid, sporty, and wearable, while always honoring the playful dreaminess of dressing up.
