Nike men’s black molded polyurethane mid top retro basketball sneaker. First released in 1997 and inspired by a beetle’s shell, the groundbreaking Air Foamposite One was the first sneaker to showcase a seamless, molded polyurethane upper. The signature model of former Orlando Magic star basketball player Anfernee “Penny” Hardaway, the Foamposite One features his signature “1¢” logo on the tongue, heel, and outsole. Part of an ongoing partnership between Nike and Comme des Garçons focused on reinterpreting iconic silhouettes through material experimentation. Features CDG logos printed on the heel and a reworked upper, which replaces the original ridges with a series of curves reminiscent of zen gardens.
