Common Projects
Ten tiny gold numbers on the heel are the only signs of branding on each shoe. The first four representing the style number, the middle two being the size, and the last four being the color. Common Projects is a collaborative effort between Peter Poopat, former V magazine director, and Flavio Girolami, a brand consultant, which was founded in 2004 on the minimalist philosophy of “form follows function.” Since their debut “Achilles” collection for Fall/Winter ‘04, Common Projects has come to be lauded among streetwear and high fashion enthusiasts alike for their high quality, minimalist designs.
